Active tourism and green plans

In Sagarlore we know that the current motivation of the traveler consists of living authentic experiences in first person, these activities will create an unforgettable memory of the trip made.

Our team wishes you to enjoy your stay in Sagarlore to the fullest, that is why we present the following proposals for active or experiential tourism that you can do very close to the hotel.

The closest gastronomic plans are already published here.

If you enjoy nature practicing hiking, Sagarlore can be the ideal starting point for tours through the Urumea Valley, visiting Astigarraga, Hernani and San Sebastian from the comfortable ride next to the bike lane linking the three entities. If you prefer the low mountain, they are very close to Sagarlore three small peaks, such as Txoritokieta and San Marcos (with its forts of the nineteenth century and several megalithic monuments) or Santiagomendi, watchtower dominated by the hermitage of Santiago with beautiful views over San Sebastian. The best way to discover Santiagomendi is to follow the themed cider trail, where you will discover the culture of the apple, the hamlet and the cider of Astigarraga.

For bike lovers, Sagarlore offers easy access to the nearby bidegorri or bike lane that connects Donostia-San Sebastian with Ordizia. This bike lane allows the practice of the bike ride along a route of little difficulty and that links the coast with the interior of Gipuzkoa.

If you prefer water sports we propose the following experiences: navigate the Urumea river by kayak or canoe or practice paddle-surfing on the beach of La Concha de San Sebastian.

Know the bowels of a pediment and practice a spectacular discipline: the ski lift or Jai-Alai. In the nearby Galarreta pediment, in Hernani, you can become a "pelotari" for a few hours.

The practice of golf can be carried out in the nearby Basozábal field in San Sebastián.

If you like horse riding, the nearby equestrian centers of Loiola in San Sebastián and Listorreta in Errenteria, will give you the opportunity to spend a good time in the middle of nature.

Another very special and fun sports activity you can do in San Sebastian is ice skating. You will have the option to practice it all year round at the nearby Txuri-Urdin Ice Palace.

You can also live an experience of great emotional intensity: an escape room set in Basque mythology: Mitologik.

Finally, we want to recommend two cultural experiences perfectly integrated in their natural environment, one centered on Basque art, the other on maritime history:

The Chillida-Leku Museum, in Hernani, exhibits emblematic works by the sculptor Eduardo Chillida in a spectacular rural estate.

The maritime factory Albaola, in Pasaia, offers travelers a tour of the relationship of the Basques with the sea, with special emphasis on the history of the whalers and their trips to Canada. You will be surprised to admire the construction of the San Juan replica.

Choose your plan and enjoy the pleasure of traveling to the most authentic Basque Country.
